    Patient Financial Representative Job Details

    • Location: Remote role with quarterly in-office meetings required
    • Must reside in Florida
    • Facility: BayCare Health System, Central Billing Office - Government Collection
    • Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
    • Status: Full Time (Exempt: No)

    This role is ideal for a customer-focused professional who enjoys helping patients navigate their financial responsibilities with confidence and care. The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, proficiency with computer systems, and a commitment to providing exceptional service with professionalism, respect, and courtesy.

    Patient Financial Representative Key Responsibilities:

    • Administration of patient accounts which includes billing, collections, customer service, and cash applications.
    • Documents patient account activity, posts payments, implements billing guideline changes and identifies trends at a payer specific level.
    • Follows all established policies, procedures, industry regulations and operational standards.
    • Researches, resolves and responds to patient inquiries involving accounts, payments and balances.
    • Follows up on Explanation of Benefits, inventories supplies, reports and tracks equipment maintenance.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Required Education: High School Graduate or GED Equivalent
    • Required Experience: 1 year of customer service
