Duties
Manage patient appointments by scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming upcoming visits using patient management software and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
Serve as the first point of contact for patients via phone, email, and in-person communication, providing friendly and professional customer service
Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details, medical history, and current health concerns, maintaining strict confidentiality in accordance with health regulation policies
Collect and verify any referring information and coordinate care with other health care providers
Assist healthcare providers with administrative support tasks such as preparing medical documentation, updating patient records, and managing electronic health records (EHR)
Coordinate with insurance companies to verify coverage, process claims, and address billing inquiries efficiently
Educate patients on health policies, appointment procedures, and necessary documentation to ensure compliance and understanding
Maintain accurate documentation of all patient interactions while adhering to privacy standards and confidentiality protocols
Skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, including communication, are of utmost importance in this role

Experience working in a medical/dental office environment or health care setting is helpful for the role.
Knowledge of health regulation policies related to patient privacy and confidentiality (e.g., HIPAA compliance)
Understanding of health insurance processes, including verification, claims submission, and billing procedures, is helpful for this role
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
Typing skills that support quick data entry and accurate record-keeping
