The Patient Communication Specialist (PCS) serves as the first contact for patients, the public, and other entities, handling inbound calls, texts, and chats while documenting interactions accurately.
Receives and processes multiple contacts, greets patients, and directs them to appropriate departments.
Schedules, reschedules, and cancels appointments across multiple clinic locations, verifying patient information.
Responds to inquiries, supports patients by connecting with providers, and conducts outreach as needed.
Ensures HIPAA compliance, maintains confidentiality, and promotes excellent customer service.
Works collaboratively with care teams, follows safety policies, and adheres to organizational standards.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, healthcare experience, medical terminology knowledge, and fluency in English. Preferred qualifications are call center experience and bilingual skills.
