Contract Details

• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 3 months
• Pay Rate: $28.00 $32.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Day shift, 3 12 Hours, 7:00 AM 7:00 PM; shift start time is 7:00 AM with flexibility to start four hours prior to or four hours after posted start time based on limited critical department need
• Travel Requirements: Accepts first timers
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary

This is an ER Surge/Overflow position. The Patient Care Technician will be stationed in the ED caring for overflow/surge patients, floating to different areas within the ED as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Float to different areas within the ED to care for overflow/surge patients.

Education Requirements

• BLS certification required.
• Must have a MA license in-hand if presenting as a CNA (facility will accept a CNA with a MA license in-hand in lieu of PCT experience).

Required Experience

• Must have experience working as a PCT.
• 1 year of experience required.
• Must have training with restraints.

Nice-to-Have Experience

• Prefer candidates with experience with violent and non-violent behavior.

Required Skills

• Proficiency with Epic charting system.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (EOW) / every other holiday (EOH).
• Facility allows 1 of the 3 major upcoming holidays in RTO.
• Flu vaccination required; medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed.
