    Hours:

    Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 5:00 pm

    Must have ability to stay later than 5:00 pm, if needed, on 2 scheduled days a week

    Job Summary:

    The Patient Care Technician assists in the treatment and care of patients under the direction of a licensed nurse. Performs tasks and services to assist in the provision of care and comfort for patients; provides care appropriate to the age of the patients served; reports observations; contributes to the efficient functioning of the unit; all duties are performed in accordance with established, policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.

    Responsibilities:

    Direct patient care under supervision of RN is primary role -Assist with dressing, monitoring, and transferring of patient. Obtain vital signs and point of care labs.

    Daily cleaning / maintenance of clinical areas and equipment

    Answering and placing telephone calls

    Data entry and retrieval within electronic medical records

    Chart preparation

    Stock and inventory medical supplies

    Participation in infection control and performance improvement activities

    Education/ Experience:

    • GED/high school diploma required
    • 1-2 years related work experience preferred
    • Certified Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant preferred
