Description:
The Livonia Medical Center, a collaboration between IHA and Trinity Health Michigan, is located on the campus of Schoolcraft College. A facility designed to promote health and healing, this outpatient health center offers primary and specialty care physician services, urgent care, surgery center, clinical lab, radiology and physical rehabilitation services.
Shifts Available: Days - 8-hour shifts
Status available: Part-Time, 20 hours per week
Position Purpose
Under the direction of a registered nurse, the patient care technician is responsible for direct patient care considering age specific, developmental, cultural and spiritual needs. Demonstrates unit/area-designated competencies. Assists in establishing and maintaining a patient care environment that is clean, safe and conducive to patient/family well being including concepts of relationship based care.

What you will do:
Performs nursing care as delegated by the RN in an effort to identify/attain treatment goals such as:
Assists patient in completing ADLs
Demonst Prates sterile or aseptic technique as appropriate when performing delegated activities
Assists in establishing and maintaining a patient care environment that is clean, safe, and conducive to patient/family well being
Records patient information and required data in appropriate areas in order to meet documentation and charging requirements
Completes delegated unit specific activities
