The Patient Care Technician on the G16 Leukemia unit at MD Anderson Cancer Center provides patient care services as assigned by a registered nurse and directly impacts patient comfort and outcome of care.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, a CNA certification and at least one year of patient care experience. The candidate must be available to work a combination of two 12-hour shifts and two-eight hour shifts each week, with rotating weekends and holidays. Evening/Night shift from 7:00pm - 7:00am, 3:00pm - 11:00pm, and 11:00pm - 7:00am.
G16 Leukemia is a specialized inpatient unit providing comprehensive care for patients with hematologic malignancies, including leukemia. Hematology patients are hospitalized for supportive care during active, aggressive high-dose chemotherapy/biotherapy and cellular therapy through a wide range of morbidity related symptoms, as well as re-hospitalization for treatment side effects. Leukemia care includes diagnosis, induction, consolidation, maintenance chemotherapy and symptom management, as well as salvage therapies for relapsed disease.

Minimum $18.27 - Midpoint $22.84 - Maximum $27.40
