As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) on our Heart Floor at The Heart Hospital at Deaconess Gateway, youll be an essential member of a collaborative care team dedicated to delivering exceptional cardiovascular care.

What Youll Do

Working alongside experienced nurses and healthcare professionals, youll provide hands-on support that directly impacts patient comfort, recovery, and overall experience. Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting patients with daily personal care needs such as bathing, oral hygiene, toileting, and linen changes
• Supporting patient mobility, transfers, ambulation, and repositioning to promote safety and recovery
• Monitoring and documenting vital signs and other important patient information
• Accurately recording observations in patient charts to support quality care
• Providing compassionate emotional support to patients and families throughout their healthcare journey

Qualifications

Required:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification within six months of hire

Preferred:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
