    Description

    Baldwin Family Health Care is seeking candidates for the position of Patient Care Technician!

    This is a grant-funded position, where you will be given the opportunity to earn a Medical Assistant Certificate.

    Responsibilities

    • Obtains and documents patient information both subjective and objective according to established standards, policy, procedures and protocols.
    • Prepares clinical areas for daily operations to meet provider and patient needs.
    • Takes responsibility for maintaining continuous training in new processes or protocols as directed by Preceptor/Supervisor and applicable requirements of the Apprenticeship program.
    • Provides and documents appropriate patient education and information according to established standards, policies and procedures; under provider direction and within own level of training.
    • Performs or assists the provider with diagnostic clinical procedures.
    • Assists patients in the course of care as needed and as directed by the provider and clinical support staff.
    • Understands the importance of and models a positive attitude and respect towards patients, co-workers, vendors and visitors as outlined in Family Health Care's Customer Service Standards.
    • Understands and demonstrates the ability to protect patient privacy according to HIPPA laws.

    Knowledge or Education Required

    • Duties require a basic level of general knowledge.
    • On-the-job training is needed.
    • Basic computer skills are required.
    • Proficiency in Windows technology preferred.
