Responsibilities:
Job Summary
· Provides basic patient care.
· Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment.
· Takes and records vital sign (VS) data and relays to patient's nurse.
· Provides general nursing care and routine treatment /procedures.
· Facilitates processing of patients
· Provides clerical receptionist support
· Provides Coordinating Support
· Performs additional duties related to the specific needs of the department
Qualifications:
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent GED. Certification as a nursing assistant or 6 months of recent experience as a nursing assistant.
Experience
- Six (6) months of recent experience as a nursing assistant. Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or one clinical semester of nursing school or successful completion of an acute care nurse aide course; or six (6) months previous experience in a healthcare position can be substituted for the experience.
Licensure/Certification
- Basic Life Support *(BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment. Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
