Position Summary
Taylor Drive Dental Care is looking for a part-time patient care coordinator that can work Mondays and Tuesdays. Our Dental Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for providing an exceptional patient experience while coordinating appointments, treatment plans, insurance information, financial arrangements, and patient communication. This position works closely with the clinical and administrative teams to ensure patients receive timely, professional, and compassionate care. 


Essential Responsibilities
Patient Care:
  • Greet patients in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service and create a positive patient experience.
  • Answer patient questions and address concerns with courtesy and empathy.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, and team members.
Scheduling:
  • Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and coordinate patient appointments.
  • Maintain an organized and productive schedule.
  • Coordinate appointments according to treatment needs and provider availability.
  • Follow up with patients who need additional or incomplete treatment.
  • Help minimize scheduling gaps and maximize appointment opportunities.
Insurance & Financial Responsibilities:
  • Obtain and verify patient insurance information.
  • Assist with insurance benefit verification and estimated patient responsibilities.
  • Explain treatment costs, financial policies, and payment options.
  • Collect patient payments and assist with account questions.
  • Assist patients with questions regarding insurance claims and benefits.
  • Maintain accurate insurance and financial information.
Communication & Teamwork:
  • Communicate effectively with dentists, hygienists, dental assistants, and administrative staff.
  • Relay relevant patient information to appropriate team members.
  • Work cooperatively to provide consistent, high-quality patient care.
  • Respond to patient concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Contribute to a positive and respectful workplace environment.
Qualifications:
  • Previous dental or healthcare office experience preferred.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Professional, positive, compassionate, and patient-focused demeanor.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Computer and dental practice management software experience preferred.
