Company Overview:

Urgent Care Clinic is hiring Medical Assistants in Brooklyn and Queens. Urgent Care Clinics provide treatment for the non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries and in such cases, it is more efficient to use an urgent care clinic than an ER in terms of both money and time.

Position Overview:

Patient Care Coordinators prove to be a vital part of our team in being the first friendly face our patients see when they visit us! As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play an instrumental role in greeting & supporting our patients during registration, ensuring comprehensive patient documentation & verifying & explaining insurance coverage, patient responsibility, policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greeting & guiding patients
  • Addressing phone calls
  • Registering patients in our electronic medical records system
  • Scanning & updating electronic medical records
  • Processing & verifying insurance coverage / collecting patient responsibility
  • Explaining ModernMD’s services & processing, addressing questions as needed
  • Performing follow up calls, as assigned
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Flu Vaccine, Proof of Covid Vaccination Card, and Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Minimum of one (1) years’ experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in urgent care.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and diplomacy skills – team player who takes initiative and maintains a professional demeanor across all interactions.
  • Strong attention to detail while maintaining a high level of organization.
  • Strong knowledge of all technical skills associated with certification and job function.
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple managers and key stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in Spanish, Bengali, Arabic, Creole, French, or Hindi, a plus
Pay Range: USD $20.00 - USD $23.00 /Hr.
