Patient Service Representative

Location: 1 Delaware Drive,Lake Success, NY 11042
Pay Rate: $19hr (Paid Weekly)
Schedule:Monday-Thursday 9:30-6 & Friday 9-3
Contract: 09/07/2026 to 12/31/2026
Allmed Benefits: Vision, Health, Dental Insurance and 401(k)
Dress Code: Optum attire with slacks

Position Overview

We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Patient Service Representative to support daily front-office operations in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional service to patients, efficiently manage appointments and administrative tasks, and maintain accurate patient information while protecting confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient check-in and check-out processes.
  • Answer incoming calls and document patient inquiries accurately in the EHR.
  • Conduct patient outreach for appointments, follow-ups, and required services.
  • Schedule appointments according to established protocols.
  • Manage administrative in-basket pools, work queues, and assigned tasks.
  • Scan and upload documents into the EHR following standard procedures.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of patients' medical, personal, and financial information.
  • Provide courteous and professional customer service to patients and staff.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 1 year of receptionist or customer service experience.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with EPIC EHR.
  • Prior healthcare or medical office experience.
