Description

The Pediatric Movement Center (PMC) is a therapist-owned small business with locations in Hagerstown, MD and Frederick, MD. We are a community-focused outpatient clinic providing physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, nutrition therapy, developmental classes, and community events to children up to 21 years of age.

Job Description

We are recruiting for a Full Time Patient Care Coordinator to join our outpatient services team in our Frederick clinic. In this role, the PCC is focused on supporting new referrals and establishing new patients.  The PCC will handle customer service inquiries and coordinate evaluations for patients and therapists based on discipline, need, and insurance, as well as provide patient education as it pertains to the mission of PMC, and other assigned duties.

The PCC will demonstrate consistent professional conduct, have a positive attitude, and be detail-oriented. The role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, computer competency, and knowledge of standard office procedures and equipment. The PCC must  be organized, self-motivated, and able to manage a demanding workload with accuracy.   

This position will involve clerical duties, which may include, but is not limited to the following tasks:

Answer all incoming phone calls or respond to messages from prospective clients

Educate clients on therapy compliance, policies, fees, etc.

Schedule evaluations with appropriate therapist based on discipline, need, and insurance

Create patient charts and ensure insurance verification

Educate clients on flex scheduling

Review weather and sickness policy, including option for telehealth

Monitor data reports and flex list

Communicate with colleagues as necessary

Communicate regularly with client services staff in our other locations and with the billing team

Meet regularly with Client Services Manager

Track statistics
