    JOB DESCRIPTION
    My Psychiatrist is a well-established multi-disciplinary outpatient mental health group practice. We are seeking Full-Time Patient Care Coordinator/Medical Receptionist.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Greet patients and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor
    • Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries promptly and courteously
    • Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar
    • Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and personal information
    • Maintain accurate patient records and update patient information as needed
    • Process patient payments and assist with insurance billing and claims
    • Assist clinical staff with administrative tasks as needed, such as filing, scanning, and faxing
    • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room
    • Ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations and patient privacy policies
    • Manage the patient check-in and check-out process, including verifying insurance eligibility, collecting co-payments or other fees, and providing necessary paperwork to patients
    • Direct patients to the appropriate waiting area or treatment room and notify clinical staff of their arrival
    • Maintain an organized and up-to-date filing system for patient records and other office paperwork
    • Coordinate with other staff members to ensure the smooth flow of patient care and office operations
    • Follow established protocols for handling emergencies or urgent patient requests
    • Attend meetings and training sessions as required to stay up-to-date on office policies and procedures
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the office manager or clinical staff.

    REQUIREMENTS
    • Must work Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm or 10am-6pm schedule
    • HS/GED required, some college preferred
    • Retails, hospitality, customer service or sales backgrounds are desired
    • Strong customer service skills, warm and friendly demeanors,
    • Well-versed in technology and computer, technically savvy
    • Previous experience in healthcare or mental health office is highly desired
