PHARMACY TECHNICIAN – PRESCRIPTION CARE COORDINATOR

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

• Pay Range: $22–$24 per hour, based on experience and certifications
• Employment Type: Full-time, W2
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–7:00 PM CST
• Training Schedule: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CST for the first 2 weeks

ROLE IMPACT

Make a meaningful difference in patients' lives by helping them access the medications they need. As a Pharmacy Technician – Prescription Care Coordinator, you will connect patients, healthcare providers, pharmacies, and medication assistance programs to help overcome prescription access and affordability challenges. Your ability to navigate medication approvals, resolve issues, and provide compassionate support will directly improve the patient experience and help ensure timely access to essential prescriptions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as a primary point of contact for patients and members seeking prescription assistance, medication access, and pharmacy support.
• Coordinate with prescribers, pharmacies, and patient assistance programs (PAPs) to facilitate medication approvals, prescription fulfillment, and financial assistance.
• Manage inbound and outbound calls, address prescription-related inquiries, and communicate updates while maintaining patient privacy and HIPAA compliance.
• Document patient interactions, track medication requests, and follow up on pending approvals or unresolved issues using CRM and pharmacy systems.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams and program partners to resolve medication access barriers and deliver accurate, timely, patient-centered service.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Active Pharmacy Technician License or Certification valid in at least one U.S. state.
• Minimum 2 years of call center experience in healthcare, pharmacy, prescription services, or patient/member support.
• Strong customer service, verbal and written communication, multitasking, and documentation skills, with intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems such as Salesforce.

• Ability to investigate prescription access issues, coordinate solutions, and manage multiple patient cases efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail, empathy, and problem-solving skills in a high-volume healthcare call center environment.
