If you enjoy helping others, solving problems, staying organized, and providing exceptional customer service, this role places you at the heart of patient care.What You'll DoYou'll serve as the connection between patients and the clinic, ensuring every individual feels welcomed, informed, and supported throughout their therapy journey.Patient Experience & SupportWelcome patients with warmth and professionalism, creating a personalized experience from arrival through departureServe as an advocate for patients by listening to concerns, answering questions, and helping them understand their care plans, rights, and responsibilitiesExplain clinic processes, policies, medical terminology, and treatment options in an easy-to-understand mannerProvide resources and guidance regarding insurance, financial assistance, social services, and support programsInteract with admitted patients and communicate estimated wait times to ensure a positive patient experienceCoordination & CommunicationSchedule patient appointments, manage reminders, and update appointment status changesCoordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients, providers, specialists, billing, insurance, authorization, and administrative teamsHandle phone calls, emails, and fax communications professionally and in a timely mannerRespond to provider and patient inquiries regarding account balances and assist with appropriate resolutionsMaintain clear, professional communication with patients, families, and internal teamsAdvocacy & Problem SolvingAddress patient concerns, complaints, and feedback with empathy and professionalismMediate communication between patients, families, and clinical staff to ensure exceptional careVerify insurance benefits and help patients understand their coverageEscalate complex issues to leadership when appropriate and follow through to resolutionAssist patients in navigating treatment coordination and clinic resourcesOperations SupportMaintain accurate patient records and EMR documentationSupport daily clinic organization, cleanliness, and overall facility upkeepAssist with moving chairs, tables, or equipment as neededContribute ideas that improve the overall patient experienceUphold HIPAA and PCI compliance standards in all patient interactions and documentationPerform other duties as assignedWhat Makes You a Great FitHigh school diploma or GED requiredAt least 1 year of experience in patient advocacy, medical reception, insurance verification/authorization, or a related healthcare customer service roleProficient with EMR systems, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and Google DocsStrong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, positive attitudeExcellent customer service and interpersonal skillsHighly organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environmentStrong problem-solving skills and sound judgmentSelf-motivated, dependable, and adaptableTeam-oriented with exceptional attention to detailCommitted to maintaining patient privacy, HIPAA compliance, and confidentialityWork EnvironmentOn-site clinic environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and assisting patients throughout the dayMay assist with exercise setup, equipment, and therapist support during treatment sessionsFrequent use of computers, phones, and office equipmentOccasional lifting of up to 15 poundsFast-paced, collaborative healthcare environment where every day brings opportunities to make a differenceWhy Join Utah Physical TherapyYou won't just schedule appointments-you'll play an essential role in how patients experience their care.
