    Join a collaborative team where your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy help support the financial health of patient care operations across the country. As a Patient Accounts Representative, you'll play an important role in ensuring insurance and patient payments are processed accurately and efficiently while contributing to a positive customer experience.

    This is a remote, PRN position and the chosen candidate will work 30 - 35 hours a week depending on what is needed within the department.

    What You'll Do

    As a Patient Accounts Representative, you'll process insurance and patient payments, reconcile payment activity, and maintain accurate records for assigned regions. You'll work closely with teammates to meet deadlines, support revenue cycle operations, and help ensure account information is handled with accuracy and care.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Process insurance and patient payments through electronic and manual payment posting methods
    • Post payment batches, including denials, within established timeframes
    • Reconcile payment batches against daily deposits to ensure accuracy
    • Maintain and submit required documentation, reports, and production logs for payment activity
    • Review and post insurance denials and rejection information to support follow-up and collection efforts
    • Apply knowledge of coordination of benefits processes and requirements
    • Provide exceptional service by responding to customer and business needs with professionalism
    • Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve shared goals and deliver results

    You Bring

    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • 6+ months of medical billing experience preferred
    • Knowledge of coordination of benefits requirements and processes
    • Understanding of cash posting regulations and guidelines
    • Experience working with insurance denials, rejections, and follow-up activities preferred
    • Ability to work efficiently, accurately, and independently in a fast-paced environment
