Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team at the Santa Clarita Ortho Clinic. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth outpatient flow for optimal patient satisfaction and clinic operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Clean, professional appearance
- Knowledge of insurance coverage and authorization process
- Ambulatory outpatient clinic experience (preferably with Spine)
- Patient scheduling expertise
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Proven customer service experience in a medical office or ambulatory care environment (3–5 years preferred)
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
- Surgery scheduling experience
- Cerner experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Coordinate multiple appointments across specialties, ensuring clinic preparation and optimal patient flow.
- Provide excellent customer service, managing heavy phone use, intake, and message distribution.
- Obtain medical records/imaging, schedule procedures, manage registration, collect co-pays, and handle referrals.
- Accurately enter information into computer systems and process new referrals promptly.
- Schedule patient evaluations and clinic appointments, including surgery scheduling, labs, and diagnostic testing.
- Assist with clerical and scheduling needs, including filing and billing documentation.
- Facilitate communication between patients, caregivers, and care team members, ensuring all changes are communicated effectively.
