Job Description:
The Support Coordinator plays a key role in supporting both patient care and clinic operations. This position is responsible for coordinating clinic schedules, managing patient appointments and follow-up care, answering patient phone calls, verifying insurance benefits, preparing patient charts, and processing charge tickets for clinic visits.
Additional responsibilities include coordinating surgeries and diagnostic testing, preparing and distributing pre-operative packets and instructions, generating surgery charge tickets, and compiling letters of medical necessity.
The Support Coordinator will also provide general administrative and clerical support to the clinic. This role works closely with physicians, patients, and multidisciplinary care teams to ensure a seamless patient experience throughout all phases of care. Responsibilities may include serving as a liaison between the clinic and referring physicians, coordinating post-surgical follow-up appointments, and maintaining an organized and efficient scheduling workflow.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, patient-focused, and able to work collaboratively with all physicians and members of the healthcare team in a fast-paced clinical environment.
