Baptist Health is hiring a Patient Access Team Lead to join our Patient Access team at Baptist South in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time Evening shift opportunity.

Shift Details: Thurs-Sat 2p-230a

Our Patient Access team plays an important role in creating a positive patient experience while supporting accurate registration and front-end revenue cycle operations. In this role, you will oversee daily Patient Access activities, coordinate staffing and workflows, monitor quality and compliance, and support team member development. The ideal candidate brings strong patient access or revenue cycle experience, leadership skills, and a commitment to service excellence and operational accountability.

Patient Access Team Lead Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily Patient Access operations, including registration, scheduling support, and pre-registration.
• Monitor insurance verification, financial clearance, and point-of-service collection activities to support accurate patient intake and revenue cycle performance.
• Coordinate staffing and workflows to maintain operational coverage, including weekend coverage support as assigned.
• Monitor quality, productivity, and compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Provide leadership support and escalate complex registration, financial clearance, and patient access issues as needed.
• Support team member training, coaching, development, and accountability.
• Promote a culture of exceptional patient experience, service excellence, and continuous improvement.

Patient Access Team Lead Experience:

• 3–5 years of Patient Access, registration, scheduling, insurance verification, authorization, financial clearance, or revenue cycle experience required.
• Prior lead, supervisory, training, or formal leadership experience preferred.
• Prior Epic experience preferred.

Patient Access Team Lead Education & Credential Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, or a related field preferred.
