PCHC is seeking a Patient Access Supervisor (PAS) to serve at Helen Hunt Health Center in Old Town. As PAS, you will lead the administrative support team in delivering customer service that is patient-centered and effective. Schedule: Full-time, Salaried, Typically Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

Highlights of the position:

  • Leads the administrative team daily, providing a model of positive, compassionate, care and supreme customer service for our patients.
  • Effectively manages and delegates the team’s roles and responsibilities, holding staff accountable for functions of copay collection, excellent customer service, accurate patient demographic collection and schedule management. Champions efforts to seek continuous improvement of practice metrics and goals.
  • Develops/Mentors/Trains the administrative support team to continually improve performance and competencies. Engages in ongoing conversation for quality monitoring and development.
  • Empowers staff to achieve excellences. Cultivates an environment that encourages patient-centered care, high performance and collegiality.
  • Models what an effective Patient Service Representative and Medical Support Assistant role is and can effectively complete all tasks on the competency checklists. Assists with supporting the clinic needs by providing front desk coverage as needed.
  • Participates in meetings and as a member of committees to help develop relationships with other clinics and represent their own clinic in a positive, professional and collaborative manner.
  • Collaborates with practice leadership team on workflow changes, process improvement, and in delivery of supreme patient care.

Education and Experience:

  • College degree preferred. High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a primary healthcare or related professional setting required.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Relevant experience in a position with some leadership responsibility at PCHC may be substituted for previous supervisory experience.
