The Patient Access Specialist with Diagnostic Imaging supports the Diagnostic Imaging department at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center by coordinating medical and financial clearance for patients referred for diagnostic procedures only. This role serves as a key access point for patients, caregivers, referring providers, and internal clinical teams, ensuring accurate intake, timely scheduling, and clear communication across the continuum of care. The Patient Access Specialist with Diagnostic Imaging contributes directly to efficient clinic operations and a positive patient experience through consistent application of medical acceptance criteria and service standards.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for an associate's degree in business, healthcare, or a related field, and brings experience in healthcare, insurance, or a related environment. Preferred candidates have several years of business experience within healthcare settings and may hold or be eligible to obtain professional certifications in healthcare access management. This role is well suited for an individual who demonstrates strong communication skills, adaptability, professionalism, and a consistent focus on customer satisfaction.
Salary: Minimum $45,500/Midpoint $57,000/Maximum $68,500
Work Shift/Schedule: Monday- Friday w/rotating Saturdays 7:00am- 12:00pm (Hybrid) 2 days onsite 8:00am-5:00pm/3 days remote 10:00am-7:00pm
