    At Valley Presbyterian Hospital, our Patient Access team is essential to creating a smooth and welcoming experience for every patient. We’re seeking a detail-oriented Patient Access Services Representative to support registration, insurance verification, and financial processes while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

    What You’ll Do

    • Register patients accurately and professionally while ensuring a positive experience
    • Conduct patient/guarantor interviews and explain hospital policies and financial responsibilities
    • Enter and validate demographic and financial data with a high level of accuracy
    • Verify insurance coverage, identify payor sources, and obtain required authorizations
    • Collect copays, deductibles, deposits, and payments for services
    • Ensure compliance with EMTALA and patient rights requirements
    • Complete financial packets and assist with payment arrangements
    • Maintain documentation and account notes for follow-up
    • Coordinate patient placement and communicate with clinical teams
    • Handle patient inquiries and provide excellent customer service

    What You Bring

    • 2+ years of experience in healthcare, insurance, or related field
    • Knowledge of patient registration, insurance verification, and medical terminology
    • Strong communication and customer service skills
    • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
    • Computer proficiency

    Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Ability to obtain LA City Fire Card and CPI/MOAB certification within 30 days

    Preferred

    • Experience in hospital admissions or physician office setting
    • Coursework in medical terminology or patient accounting
