Salary $16.00 - $22.00 / hour
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree is preferred
- Experience in healthcare or front‑office settings is beneficial
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency with EHR systems and office software
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
- Knowledge of medical terminology is helpful
Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients and visitors upon arrival and provide clear direction as needed
- Register patients and verify information including insurance details and required documentation
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to help maintain timely operations
- Answer incoming calls, address general inquiries, and provide information about available services
- Process patient payments and issue receipts for completed transactions
- Maintain accurate records in the EHR system in accordance with organizational standards
- Ensure compliance with privacy and security requirements including HIPAA and related regulations
