    **Job Title: Patient Access Representative / Patient Services Representative

    Work Location: Los Angeles, CA 90048

    Duration: 13 Weeks / 3 Months

    Schedule: Day Shift – 5x8 Hours

    Hours: 8 hours between 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM**

    Required Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans.
    • At least 1 year of recent experience in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting.
    • Ability to read, understand, and respond to detailed oral and written instructions.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 2+ years of recent experience as a Patient Service Representative.
    • Experience with CS-Link/Epic.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients in person and by phone.
    • Greet patients, address concerns, and escalate issues when appropriate.
    • Check patients in and out, collect co-payments, provide receipts, and reconcile payments.
    • Verify patient demographics and insurance information in CS-Link/Epic.
    • Schedule appointments and complete patient registration.
    • Process and track referrals and insurance authorizations.
    • Handle patient and provider correspondence.
    • Explain policies, procedures, and available services to patients.
    • Maintain and sanitize the workspace according to department guidelines.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Ideal Candidate

    • The ideal candidate will have recent outpatient or medical office experience, strong patient-facing and communication skills, and familiarity with insurance verification, referrals, authorizations, and patient registration. Experience with CS-Link/Epic and medical terminology is highly preferred.
