    About the Role

    As a Patient Access Representative at Quincy Medical Group, you will often be one of the first people our patients interact with. You will help create a welcoming, organized experience by assisting with registration, scheduling, patient information, and other front-office needs.

    This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys helping people, communicates well, and takes pride in getting the details right. Healthcare experience is helpful but not required—we are looking for someone who is dependable, comfortable learning new systems, and ready to be part of a team.

    Schedule & Work Environment

    • Part-time position with a varied schedule based on department needs. Evening and weekend availability is required.
    • This is a patient-facing role in a fast-paced healthcare environment where priorities and patient volumes may change throughout the shift.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Welcome patients and visitors and provide friendly, professional assistance throughout the check-in and registration process.
    • Verify and update patient demographics, insurance information, and other required information accurately.
    • Schedule and manage patient appointments while helping patients understand next steps and appointment details.
    • Answer incoming calls, respond to questions, and direct patients to the appropriate department or resource.
    • Collect applicable payments and provide information regarding patient financial responsibilities within established guidelines.
    • Maintain accurate information within the electronic medical record and protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
    • Communicate with providers, clinical staff, and other departments to support efficient patient flow and resolve scheduling or registration needs.
    • Balance multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and a positive patient experience.
    • Perform other duties as assigned to support department operations.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • Previous customer service, healthcare, reception, scheduling, or administrative experience preferred but not required.
    • Strong communication and customer service skills with a genuine desire to help others.
    • Comfort using computers and ability to learn electronic medical record, scheduling, and registration systems.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately enter and verify information.
    • Ability to stay organized and adjust priorities in a busy environment.
    • Dependable and able to work the evening and weekend hours required by the position.

    The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $15.35 - $23.03 per hour determined by experience, education, skills, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials and other incentives where applicable.
