Patient Access Representative

The Opportunity:

Saint Luke's South Hospital in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Patient Access Representative to join our team. You will conduct professional patient interviews, obtaining demographic, financial, and biographical information. This position is responsible for the delivery of quality performance and service excellence.

Shift Details: The ideal candidate has flexible hours to work weekdays as well as weekends. The hours could be between 6:00am-6:00pm as well as 6:00pm-6:00am. The minimum PRN requirement is 24 hours per month with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts as needed.

The Work:

• Understands insurance terminology
• Obtains information to appropriately bill payors
• Verifies patient insurance eligibility
• Confirms benefits eligibility
• Gather statistical information in compliance with federal and state regulations
• Completes payment transactions by using proper negotiating techniques to professional collect money owed by our Patients and Guarantors
• Makes referrals to appropriate financial resources, such as payment plans and lines of credit
