Summary:
- Monitor and optimize PAFS departmental use of technology and applications to drive process improvement and ensure key performance metrics and quality measures are met. Collaborates with the Sr. Manager to establish organizational strategies, initiatives, and best practices that propel the DH mission forward.
Responsibilities:
- 1. Monitor and maintain systems functionality for all PAFS systems a. Monitor systems for issues; Meditech, Experian Passport, Instamed b. Work with MIS to support teams, problem solve issues c. Assist during system downtime; support staff d. System administrator for Experian 2. Review registration quality data for all areas; identify needs for education or process improvement; collaborate with Manager to implement a. Monitor and review all PAFS associates’ RQA scorecard and departmental reports on consistent basis b. Evaluate findings and identify areas of opportunity for improvement c. Implement WQ’s as needed based on identified opportunities for improved performance; work with Coordinators to establish d. Work with Experian contact, tech support to optimize our use of RQA system and reports 3. Evaluate staff performance and performance against established KPI for registration quality and revenue cycle goals; identify and monitor trends for improvement in KPI a. Participate in development of competency standards based on RQA findings and other b. Provide feedback to Managers on Associate performance appraisals and update departmental reports as needed. c. Monitor RQA Manager department Workques as assigned d. Monitors and reports weekly Time of Service (TOS) payments collected in all PAFS departments to Sr. Manager. Provides monthly TOS collection reports by PAFS departments to Sr. Leadership. Collaborates with Patient Financial Services on refining collection amounts and monitoring patient refunds due to TOS collections. 4. Work with PAFS Mgmt. team to provide staff education for optimizing use of systems and meeting quality metrics a. Identify and recommend additional training for all associates when necessary b. Distribute RQA quality scores and other performance metrics to PAFS mgmt. team on a regular basis c. Working with PAFS mgmt. team, develop continuing staff education based on RQA findings and data from other systems (Instamed, Meditech reports) d. Act as liaison, staff support for RQA issues e. Participate in all PAFS new staff orientation; presenting education re; Registration quality and metrics 5. Liaison for payers and system vendors; collaborate to resolve issues a. Holds System administrator access where required b. Maintain system access, issue new passwords, usernames and update as needed c. Act as PAFS contact; manage service requests, submit tickets on vendor service portals such as Experian d. Collaborate with MIS team to review, revise or update Meditech dictionaries and instructions
Credentials:
Education or Equivalent Experience:
- Associate of Arts or Science
- High School degree or equivalent is required
Associates degree or higher, preferred
3 years Hospital registration or office experience required.
