Patient Access Clerk - Per Diem

We are seeking a Patient Access Clerk to join our Patient Access Department.

Location: Blythe, California

Position Type: Per-Diem

Shift Availability: Variable (Days/Nights/Weekends)

What You'll Do

• Before the Visit: Schedule appointments, complete pre-registration, verify insurance coverage, and initiate precertifications.
• During the Visit: Register patients, validate insurance, coordinate transfers, and escort patients to the right service areas when needed.
• After the Visit: Initiate authorizations for inpatient stays and scan documentation into charts.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency in computer systems and software applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Fluent in an additional language preferred.
• Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service setting preferred.
