Job Location: Gaithersburg, MD

Start Date: ASAP

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Summary of position: (EX: Put a few sentences about the job Community Hospital with a collaborative environment. They have five PAs and several grossing techs. High volume or low volume lab with multiple specimens, no frozens and no autopsies)

Qualifications: 

• ASCP certification as a Pathologists’ Assistant (PA) required

• Graduate of a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists’ Assistant program preferred

• Strong grossing and specimen dissection experience

• Experience with autopsy pathology strongly preferred

• Excellent written documentation and report-preparation skills

• Ability to work independently with limited day-to-day supervision

• Strong attention to detail and sound professional judgment

• Comfortable working with both human and animal specimens
