    Job Title: Pathologist Assistant
    Location: Memphis, TN
    Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
     

     
    Position Overview:
    We are seeking a highly skilled Pathologist Assistant to join a premier, physician-led diagnostic laboratory in Memphis. This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of diagnostic innovation within one of the nation’s most advanced digital pathology environments.
    You will function independently under the direction of a Board-Certified Pathologist to perform gross examinations and dictations of surgical tissue specimens.

    Core Responsibilities
    • Gross Examination: Submit and dictate all surgical specimens for processing and prepare tissue for specialized testing (e.g., lymphoma phenotyping).
    • Laboratory Maintenance: Maintain a properly supplied cutting room and photograph specimens as designated by the pathologist.
    • Compliance: Adhere to all lab safety precautions, HIPAA privacy policies, and industry security practices.
     
    Requirements
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a Pathologist Assistant program is required.
    • Certification: ASCP (or equivalent) certification as a Pathologist Assistant, or must meet CLIA requirements.
    • Experience: Successful completion of a formal Pathologist Assistant training program (students near completion are welcome to apply); 2 years of experience preferred.
