Responsibilities

The Pathologist Assistant assists pathologists in the preparation and performance of human surgical specimen dissection and performance of human postmortem examinations. Assists with and/or performs gross dictation of complex surgical specimens. As directed by supervising pathologist(s), manager, or administrator, may assume other responsibilities including work flow management, research, and/or teaching duties. Assesses data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interprets information relative to the patient's age-specific needs.

Qualifications

Graduate of a Masters Level approved Pathologists' Assistant program. PA(ASCP) - Must be attained within one year of start date.

Additional Qualifications:

Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, medical practices, and human anatomy. Focused attention to detail, communication skills, strong problem-solving capabilities, accountability. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span.

Compensation range is $105,060.80 -$157,643.20 / salary. This vacancy is not eligible for sponsorship/we will not sponsor or transfer visas for this position. Also, Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.

Schedule Details

20 hours per week. Two (8) hour shifts (9:30AM-6PM) and one (4) hour shift. Weekdays (Monday-Friday) to be determined.
