Pathologists' Assistant Supervisor

A respected healthcare organization in Longview, Texas is seeking an experienced Pathologists' Assistant Supervisor to lead a high-performing anatomic pathology team. This leadership opportunity is ideal for an ASCP-certified Pathologists' Assistant with a strong background in surgical pathology and team supervision.

Qualifications

• PA(ASCP) certification required
• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree from an accredited Pathologists' Assistant program
• 5+ years of experience working as a Pathologists' Assistant
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience is strongly preferred
• Extensive experience with surgical specimen gross examination and dissection
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a team of Pathologists' Assistants and laboratory staff
• Oversee daily workflow to ensure efficient, high-quality pathology operations
• Perform gross examination and dissection of surgical specimens
• Ensure compliance with CAP, CLIA, and laboratory quality standards
• Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory leadership to improve processes and maintain exceptional patient care
