THE TEAM

You will join our Pastry Kitchen team and report directly to the Pastry Chef. Working within the Pastry and Bake Shop, the team is dedicated to producing exceptional pastries, desserts, breads, ice creams, sorbets, jams, and specialty creations while maintaining the highest standards of quality, presentation, cleanliness, and food safety.

YOUR ROLE

As a Pastry Cook, you will play an important role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences for guests across restaurants, room service, and banqueting operations. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality pastry and bakery items, maintaining food safety standards, supporting efficient kitchen operations, and contributing to a collaborative team environment. Your attention to detail, commitment to excellence, and passion for pastry preparation will help ensure a consistently outstanding guest experience.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE THE PLACE

• Prepare and produce a variety of pastries, desserts, breads, ice creams, sorbets, jams, and other pastry menu items to established recipes and quality standards.
• Set up and maintain an organized workstation with the tools, equipment, supplies, and ingredients required for daily production.
• Support restaurant, room service, banquet, and amenity operations through timely preparation and delivery of pastry products.
• Ensure strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, health regulations, and company standards.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate supply shortages to support uninterrupted kitchen operations.
• Minimize waste and maintain proper storage, labeling, dating, and product rotation procedures.
• Collaborate with chefs and colleagues to ensure efficient production and exceptional service delivery.
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of all work areas, equipment, and storage spaces.

COULD THIS BE YOU?

• You have experience preparing high-quality pastry and bakery products within a luxury hotel, upscale restaurant, or similar hospitality environment.
• You are highly organized and can prioritize tasks effectively while managing multiple production requirements.
• You demonstrate strong attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency in food preparation and presentation.
• You work well under pressure and can meet production schedules and guest expectations in a fast-paced environment.
• You have a thorough understanding of recipes, food preparation techniques, and safe food handling practices.
• You are a team player who collaborates effectively with colleagues while also working independently when required.
• You possess strong communication skills in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
• A culinary certification is preferred.
