Must adhere to all company and DOT safety policies. They will also be responsible for maintaining the inventory of parts. THIS POSITION WILL INCLUDE DAY OR NIGHT SHIFT WORK, EXTENSIVE TRAVELING, OVERTIME, AND WEEKEND WORK.OVERNIGHT TRAVEL IS REQUIRED PRIMARY DUTIESConfidence and ability to transport loadsMake accurate and prompt deliveriesConduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck and trailer in accordance with DOT/FMCSA regulations.Secure all loads in accordance with DOT/FMCSA regulationsDeliver parts and equipment to job sites spanning from San Diego, CA – Laredo, TX.Travel extensively, often on short notice, to various locations including remote areas.Operate heavy equipment for loading and unloading purposes (Skid steers, forklifts, excavators, wheel loaders, etc.)Conducts inventory control activities as directed by SupervisorsRetrieves (pulls) parts/tools from inventory or if the requested parts are not in inventory notifies supervisorsWorks under Parts Runner Supervisor to ensure delivery assignments are completed promptly and correctlyComplete all documents, forms and reports in accordance with company policyFueling and washing all equipment in and out of shop including support vehiclesMaintains a professional appearance for self in accordance with company policyPerform other duties as assignedOvernight travel is requiredREQUIREMENTSHigh School Diploma or equivalentBe at least 21 years of age or olderPossess a Class A CDL with all endorsementsMinimum of 1 year flatbed experienceFlatbed, heavy haul and equipment experience a plusSPEAK, READ, UNDERSTAND and WRITE in EnglishMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug testHave mechanical skills to perform maintenance on equipmentMust provide a valid DOT Medical Examiner's CertificateMust be able to provide past driving record, and current MVROvertime will be necessary during peak timesMust be able to work flexible schedule at timesMust be willing to be on-call rotating weekendsMust have strong organizational skills to handle the variety of tasks assigned and to be able to prioritizeMust develop positive working relationships with vendorsMust have some basic knowledge of heavy equipment/mechanics to know parts and speak intelligently with vendorsMust be able to work flexible schedule at timesFisher Industries is an Equal Opportunity Employer.We are a drug-free work environment requiring pre-employment and random drug testing.
