    Description

    O'Meara Volkswagen is seeking an experienced Parts Manager to oversee our parts department operations. This role is responsible for managing inventory, maximizing department profitability, supervising parts staff, and ensuring exceptional service to both internal departments (service, body shop) and retail/wholesale customers.

     Responsibilities:
    • Manage day-to-day operations of the parts department, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and inventory control
    • Set and achieve monthly/annual sales and gross profit goals for the parts department
    • Maintain optimal inventory levels to minimize obsolescence while ensuring parts availability for service and body shop needs
    • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise parts department staff
    • Build and maintain relationships with wholesale accounts and vendors
    • Analyze inventory reports and adjust stocking/ordering strategy accordingly
    • Ensure compliance with manufacturer (VW) parts program requirements and dealership policies
    • Handle customer and internal department concerns related to parts orders, backorders, and pricing
    • Partner with Service and Sales departments to support overall dealership operations
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe parts department

     Qualifications:

    • 2+ years of experience in a dealership parts department, with prior supervisory/management experience preferred
    • Working knowledge of parts inventory management systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar DMS)
    • Volkswagen or import brand experience a plus
    • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
    • Ability to read and interpret parts catalogs, manuals, and manufacturer bulletins
    • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
