Parts Manager Job Responsibilities
Lead all daily operations of the Parts Department
Maintain appropriate inventory levels while controlling obsolescence
Monitor and improve gross profit, inventory turns, and departmental performance
Ensure accurate receiving, stocking, ordering, and inventory control procedures
Recruit, train, coach, and develop department team members
Work closely with the Service Department to support technician efficiency and customer satisfaction
Manage OEM and aftermarket parts ordering and vendor relationships
Oversee retail, wholesale, and internal parts sales operations
Review department reports and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement
Ensure compliance with dealership policies and manufacturer standards
Deliver outstanding service to technicians, customers, and wholesale accounts
Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture

Parts Manager Qualifications
Automotive dealership parts department experience
Strong understanding of inventory management and inventory control processes
Demonstrated leadership ability and a track record of accountability
Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
Experience working with dealership management systems and manufacturer inventory programs
Ability to analyze reports, identify opportunities, and drive department performance
Corporate Hiring Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
