Description

About This Role

A leading automotive manufacturer is hiring a Parts Crib Administrator to support Stamping and die build operations in Georgetown, KY (100% onsite). Hands-on tool and die experience is required: you will work with dies and production tooling in a tool room or tooling crib environment. You will coordinate parts ordering, receiving, shipping, inventory control, and vendor communication so that parts are accurately identified, documented, stored, and delivered to support production schedules and timely die build completion. This is an early career to mid career role (roughly 2 to 10 years of related experience) with training provided on the systems and crib process. A Stamping background is a plus.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Support die build and parts crib operations: coordinate parts ordering, receiving, shipping, inventory control, and vendor communication
  • Verify crib inventory before ordering and support parts quoting activities
  • Gather costing, lead-time, and comparison data to support ordering and vendor selection
  • Use a Manufacturing Execution System (ProLeiS MES or similar), SAP Ariba, and Microsoft 365 to process orders, receive parts, and track activity
  • Review Catia, XVL, and design PDFs to verify changes and identify issues
  • Receive parts by matching packing slips to quoted parts lists, die numbers, quantities, and descriptions
  • Prepare, organize, and route parts carts, shipping materials, paperwork, and labels; maintain paper records, parts trees, and partial-order documentation
  • Unload trucks, crates, fixtures, and parts using forklifts and mobile ramps; maintain 5S workplace organization of the crib area
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal partners to resolve damaged, missing, incorrect, expedited, or modified parts

Qualifications

Qualifications

Required: hands-on Tool and Die or production tooling experience, such as issuing, tracking, maintaining, or managing dies and tooling in a manufacturing tool room or tooling crib (die maintenance, die change, die build, or stamping dies). General warehouse or parts inventory experience alone does not meet this requirement.

  • Early career to mid career (roughly 2 to 10 years of related experience); willingness to be trained on the parts crib process and the supporting systems
  • Stamping background a plus
  • Some exposure to parts crib operations, inventory control, shipping and receiving, purchasing support, or manufacturing support
  • Experience working with vendors or suppliers (ordering, follow-up, or issue resolution)
  • Ability to read parts lists, packing slips, die numbers, and basic technical documentation
  • Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills; basic computer skills and the ability to learn manufacturing systems quickly
  • Physical: able to lift over 35 lbs, unload trucks, crates and pallets, and operate forklifts, easy-go vehicles, banders, and material-handling equipment; valid driver's license (mandatory)
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed and travel up to 10%
  • Preferred, and trainable if absent: Manufacturing Execution Systems (ProLeiS MES or similar); SAP Ariba; Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word); reviewing CAD, Catia models, XVL, and technical drawings; vendor quoting, inventory control, and parts logistics
