Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable, customer-focused
Parts Counter Representative
to join our team in Shreveport. This role is ideal for someone with previous parts sales experience who enjoys helping customers, managing inventory, and working in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Responsibilities
- Greet walk-in customers promptly and provide outstanding customer service.
- Process walk-in, phone, and email parts inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare accurate parts and service quotes for customers.
- Assist the sales team with parts pricing, availability, and ordering.
- Help customers and technicians identify the correct replacement parts.
- Receive, stock, label, and organize inventory.
- Maintain clean, organized parts rooms, warehouse areas, and showroom displays.
- Perform regular cycle counts and assist with annual physical inventory.
- Coordinate manufacturer warranty claims and parts returns.
- Load and unload delivery trucks as needed.
- Process sales transactions, including cash, check, and credit card payments.
- Ensure inventory accuracy and maintain an organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous parts counter or parts sales experience
required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comfortable using computers for data entry and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently while contributing as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in warehouse, shop, and outdoor environments throughout the year.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Forklift experience or the ability to safely operate a forklift.
