    Ergon Marine & Industrial Supply, Inc., has an opening for a Parts Clerk at its Vicksburg location.

    The Parts Clerk position will assist the Marine Supply Manager in customer service to customers, purchase supplies at competitive prices, maintain warehouse inventory, and keep the warehouse clean.

    Parts Clerk Responsibilities include the following:

    • Support Marine Supply Manager in day-to-day operations
    • Required to be on-call as needed
    • Receive and process customer orders and ensure the accuracy by communicating with the customer on any questions or issues. Complete paperwork accurately.
    • Ensure the loading of customer orders on the crew boat or dock as appropriate.
    • Maintain stock items in inventory and the purchasing of any non-stock items.
    • Verify the accuracy of items received and turn in paperwork to the office.
    • Process (palletize) customer products that are shipped in from suppliers and complete paperwork
    • Handle customer complaints or issues.
    • Pick up and deliver supplies to Magnolia Marine Transport when requested
    • Ensure warehouses are kept clean daily
    • Follow maintenance schedule for department vehicle. Report any mechanical problems to Marine Operations Manager.
    • Complete the following checklist reporting any problems to appropriate manager:
    • Forklift Pre-Shift Checklist at the beginning of each shift
    • Vehicle Inspection Checklist at the beginning of each shift
    • Fire Extinguisher Inspection monthly
    • Ladder Inspection Checklist monthly
    • Other duties as assigned.
    • This position will require shift work as follows: work 3 days on dayshift, 3 nights on nightshift, and 3 days off.

    Parts Clerk Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Computer Experience
    • Self-motivated with good organizational skills
    • Training in SAP Program preferred
    • Forklift license preferred
    • Valid driver's license
    • TWIC Card

    The person selected must be able to work in any environment (heat, cold, rain, etc.).
