Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Parts Cleaner position in Chesapeake Virginia in a CLIMATE CONTROLLED SHOP! 
 
Qualifications:
  • Must have experience with industrial painting, sandblasting, surface preparation, steam cleaning, coatings, or similar industrial work 
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods.
 
Job Duties entail but are not limited to: 
  • Perform industrial painting, sandblasting, and steam-cleaning duties in accordance with company and customer requirements.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting and coating by cleaning, blasting, scraping, and removing dirt, rust, paint, grease, and other contaminants.
  • Operate sandblasting, steam-cleaning, painting, and other surface-preparation equipment safely and effectively.
  • Apply paints, coatings, and protective finishes as directed.
  • Set up, inspect, operate, and clean tools and equipment used during daily operations.
  • Properly use respirators and all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all company, customer, and OSHA safety procedures.
  • Assist experienced employees with painting, blasting, cleaning, and general job-site duties as needed.
  • Safely lift, move, and position materials, equipment, hoses, and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Perform work requiring extended periods of standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and other physical activity.
  • Work overtime and extended hours as required to meet customer and project needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on operational and customer requirements.
 
Schedule: 
  • Monday-Friday 6am-4pm 
  • Must be flexible to work OT and weekends as needed
 
Pay: 
  • $16-18/hour based on experience
