JIT Toyota-Lift is looking for a Parts Assistant to join our team. This position is a great fit for someone who is organized, customer-focused, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys keeping things moving behind the scenes.

As a Parts Assistant, you’ll help support the day-to-day operation of our Parts Department, including maintaining inventory, sourcing parts, working with vendors, assisting customers, and providing support to the Parts Manager. Your work will directly contribute to keeping our customers and service team up and running.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

• Assist with parts inventory control, purchasing, pricing, and other activities that support department profitability.
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service over the phone and at the parts counter.
• Help ensure customer needs are addressed and concerns are resolved quickly and professionally.
• Communicate available parts, products, and services to customers.
• Work with vendors to quickly and accurately source required parts.
• Obtain and compare product and freight quotes.
• Assist with weekly reporting on the status of the Parts Department.
• Assist with filing warranty claims for repair orders.
• Maintain accurate information and help keep the Parts Department organized and efficient.
• Communicate and work effectively with other departments.
• Follow company safety practices and report potential safety concerns.
• Perform other duties as needed.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 2 years of recent inventory control experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid New York State driver’s license.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• A professional, positive, service-oriented attitude.
• The ability to work effectively across departments.

The position may occasionally require lifting or moving up to 50 pounds and includes a combination of office and parts/material-handling environments.
