The salary range for this position is $61,572 - $82,096. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining salary; therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of other benefits and earned time off that vary depending on part-time or full-time status.

  1. Job Summary:

The Partnership Operations Director is responsible for overseeing program operations and fiscal grant management, including reporting for community and state contracts, the coordination of cross-department grant tracking and compliance. Lead the development and execution of YMCA programs and networks while serving as a key community representative, building partnerships and supporting funder relationships to advance collective impact. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and education leadership to drive business growth and continuous program and process improvement.

  1. Essential Functions:
  • Lead and manage Beacons large state and federal grants, ensuring accurate tracking, compliance, and timely submission of requirements; convene and facilitate cross-departmental grant committees.
  • Coordinate with the fiscal department to respond to audit requests for state and federal grants.
  • Collaborate with partners to ensure accurate billing aligned with allowable expenses; monitor progress toward goals and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with the fiscal department to monitor grant spend-down and allocate funding across Beacons Centers in collaboration with the Executive Director and Program Executives.
  • Collaborate with Program Executives to manage monthly fiscal reporting to the VP and Fiscal Analyst, ensuring timely forecast adjustments.
  • Partner with program leaders to implement and advance initiatives aligned with the YMCA of the North's strategic plan.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and ethical standards related to assigned responsibilities.
  • Serve as a resource and provide technical assistance to local programs on budgeting and enrollment to support goal attainment.
  • Partner with program executive leaders to meet or exceed financial targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal partners across the YMCA of the North.
  • Foster a "One Y" culture that celebrates teamwork, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  1. Relationships:

This position reports to the Executive Director of Beacons K-Career who reports to the Vice President of Education Impact. The incumbent has both supervisory and budgetary responsibilities. The incumbent maintains program records and ensures consistency of best practices regarding fiscal operations, contracts, record keeping, and communication for the department. Serve as a resource to local program leaders and participate in all department leadership convenings. Develops and maintain strong relationships throughout YMCA of the North. The incumbent regularly interacts with cross-functional partners, program leaders, staff and community partners.

  1. Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; demonstrated experience working in youth development or community programs may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of management/supervisory/leadership experience.
  • Experience in involvement with board work at a program level or support level and this may include being a member of a community board or committee.
  • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to resolve problems.
  • Ability to motivate, inspire and develop diverse teams.
  • Interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills including the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to successfully manage program or department budget and expenses.
  • Ability to solve problems and demonstrate assertiveness to manage a variety of responsibilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook and other computer programs necessary to perform the duties of the job.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of MB legislative process
  • Working knowledge of MN State Government Agencies
  • Experience with Minnesota's child and family system advocacy agencies.
  • Bi/multilingual
  1. Work Conditions:
  • Must be able to work on a computer for an extended period of time.
  • Must be able to regularly travel locally for meetings, training and special events.
