Job DetailsWe are seeking a Partner specializing in workers' compensation defense to join our reputable firm.
The ideal candidate will have a portable book of business amounting to 50+ case files.
Responsibilities:
- Representing our clients in all stages of Workers' Compensation litigation.
- Developing and implementing defense strategies and negotiating settlements.
- Handling a high volume of cases from inception through resolution.
- Conducting legal research and analysis, drafting pleadings and motions.
- Providing legal advice to our clients, interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations.
- Participating in trials, depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and hearings.
- Working closely with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure cases are handled efficiently.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Workers' Compensation laws and regulations.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, judges, and opposing counsel.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice in North Carolina.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in workers' compensation defense.
- Portable business with a minimum of 50 transferrable case files.
- Proven track record of successful defense strategies and case resolutions.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to handle a high volume of cases and work under pressure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in legal research and writing.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- High level of integrity and professional ethics.
