Labor & Employment Partner Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Partner to join a sophisticated employment law practice in Los Angeles. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with 10+ years of experience representing employers in litigation, employment counseling, compliance, and workplace risk management.

 

*Open to senior level attorneys interested in a Partner role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent employers in state and federal litigation involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, disability, leave, contract, unfair competition, trade secret, and privacy-related claims
  • Handle wage-and-hour matters, including class actions, PAGA matters, audits, overtime disputes, meal and rest break issues, and related compliance concerns
  • Advise employers on employment agreements, workplace policies, accommodations, leaves of absence, workplace investigations, and litigation avoidance
  • Handle administrative proceedings and complex employment disputes
  • Take matters through all stages of litigation, including trial
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships while providing strategic employment advice
  • Contribute to the continued growth and development of the firm's Labor & Employment practice

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience representing employers in Labor & Employment matters
  • Extensive employment litigation and counseling experience
  • Significant experience with discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, disability, leave, contract, unfair competition, trade secret, and privacy claims
  • Strong wage-and-hour experience, including class actions and PAGA matters
  • Successful jury trial experience preferred
  • Experience handling state and federal court matters and administrative proceedings
  • Active California Bar license
  • 1,750 billable hour requirement
