    Job Title: Partner Development Assistant

    Reports To: Director of Partner Relationships 

    Location: Fort Collins, Boulder, and Denver, Colorado (field-based)

    Employment Type: Part-Time, Hourly, (20 to 30 hours per month) 

    In addition to hourly compensation:

    $20 appointmentbonus for each qualifiednew appointment generated through your outreach

    $250 monthly vehicle allowance to help cover mileage, gas, parking, and other local transportation expenses

    About the Role

    Journey Payroll & HR is looking for an outgoing, dependableSales Assistant to help us build and strengthenrelationships across our network of accounting firm contacts in the Fort Collins, Boulder, and Denver areas.

    This role is hands-on and relationship-driven: you'll be the face of Journey to 100 to 150 contacts every month, delivering Journey'smonthly marketing flyer along with unique, attention-grabbing itemsdesigned to keep Journey top of mind.  

    This isn't a behind-the-scenes support role. You'll be one of the faces of Journey in the community. You'll have direct interaction with company owners, participate in strategy discussions, and meet regularly with our CEO and other company leaders.

    This is a part-time position, typically 20 to 30 hours per monthmaking it particularly well suited for a college student or someone looking to gain meaningful business and sales experience while maintaining a flexible schedule. 

    For someone who excels in the position, there may be opportunities for additional hours and responsibilities. If you're interested in building a career in sales or business development, this role could also provide a path to a larger sales position within Journey. For students pursuing opportunities elsewhere after graduation, strong performers may also earn valuable professional references and recommendations from Journey's leadership. 

    Key Responsibilities

    • Hand-deliver monthly marketing flyers and a companion gift or standout item to 100 to 150 accounting firm contacts each month
    • Develop genuine relationships with the people you meet and represent Journey in a friendly, professional, and memorable way
    • Help generate appointments for Journey's sales team through your relationship-building efforts 
    • Participate in monthly meetings with company ownership and the CEO to review results, share what you're seeing in the market, and contribute to outreach strategy 
    • Communicate professionally and promptly with Journey'smarketing and sales team regarding activity andfeedback from the field 

    Qualifications

    • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
    • Willingness and ability to travel regularly (your territory will be around where you live or go to school for convenience)
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Comfortable initiatingfriendly, professional conversations with people you don't already know 
    • Highly organized and dependable and able to work independently
    • Professional appearance and demeanor
    • Prior sales, customer service, hospitality,or relationship-based experience is a plus but not required
    • Self-motivated, competitive, and coachable
    • College students and candidates early in their careers are encouraged to apply
