    Description

    We are seeking a compassionate and dependable professional to support the well-being, growth, and daily success of young people in a structured care environment. The ideal candidate is patient, attentive, and committed to creating a safe, respectful, and encouraging atmosphere for youth with diverse needs and backgrounds.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide supervision, guidance, and support to youth in accordance with program expectations and safety procedures.
    • Build positive, professional relationships that promote trust, respect, and consistency.
    • Support daily routines, activities, and transitions while encouraging appropriate behavior and personal responsibility.
    • Monitor the environment to help maintain safety, structure, and order.
    • Respond calmly and appropriately to challenging situations, using approved de-escalation and intervention techniques when needed.
    • Document observations, incidents, and daily reports accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other professionals to support individualized care plans and program goals.
    • Encourage participation in educational, recreational, and life-skills activities.
    • Follow all organizational policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements.

    Qualifications

    • Experience working with children, adolescents, or young adults in a care, support, education, or community setting.
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
    • Ability to remain calm, professional, and supportive in dynamic situations.
    • Demonstrated reliability, sound judgment, and a commitment to youth-centered care.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Basic computer skills for documentation and communication purposes.
    • Willingness to complete required training and meet any applicable background screening requirements.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in residential care, behavioral health, child welfare, or a related field.
    • Knowledge of trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches.
    • First aid or CPR certification, if required by the employer.
