    Job Summary: The Wellness Coordinator is responsible for implementation of the wellness classes and programming for their campus(es). They are expected to lead classes, develop programming, conduct fitness testing, and maintain accurate recordkeeping for all wellness services provided through Functional Pathways.

    Education and Licensure:

    • Bachelor's degree from accredited institution preferred, Exercise Science and/or Sports medicine related field; or 5+ years' experience coordinating Wellness Programs.
    • Must hold current BLS certification; preferred ACSM certification.

    Clinical Experience:

    • Previous Wellness experience required.

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Two years of experience planning, teaching, and motivating individuals
    • Two years of experience in working with the elderly population
    • Fluent providing Exercise Prescriptions and conducting individual and group sessions on topics related to all dimensions of wellness.
    • Experience with aquatics and/or Tai Chi preferred.

    Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

    • Must possess characteristics such as good written and verbal communication, innovative, a self-starter, and team player.

    Continuing Education:

    • Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education activities to stay updated with advancements in the field.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to stand, sit, and move around for extended periods to evaluate and treat patients.
    • Physical strength and dexterity to facilitate therapeutic activities, assist with transfers, and use equipment.
    • Capacity to lift and position patients as needed during therapy sessions.
