Position Overview
Join our team as a Care Coordinator who contributes to the success of a high-performing organization committed to delivering superior care and exceptional service. Performs a range of administrative and customer service tasks, providing valuable support to the hospital. Within the veterinary field, this position aligns closely with roles often titled Veterinary Receptionist, Customer Service Representative, or Client Care Specialist.
Mamaroneck Veterinary Hospital in Mamaroneck, New York, has been a part of the local community for over 40 years, with a long-standing history of providing compassionate, high-quality veterinary care to pets and their families. Today, the hospital continues that tradition while evolving to meet the needs of a modern veterinary practice.
Our hospitals provide general veterinary medicine, preventative care, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, wellness services, and urgent medical care. We serve a diverse patient population and take pride in providing individualized care rather than treating every patient the same.
Mamaroneck is an established hospital and includes boarding, daycare, and grooming services. The hospital has a strong foundation of experienced team members while continuing to develop new talent and expand the services we can offer our clients.

Key Responsibilities
Qualifications (Required)
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position
Minimum of 1 year of veterinary medicine experience, including experience in general practice, emergency medicine, or shelter medicine (human medical experience not considered)
Minimum of 1 year of veterinary reception experience in a veterinary hospital or clinical setting.
Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine, including:
Vaccines and vaccination protocols
Veterinary pharmaceuticals and common medications
Diagnostic procedures and terminology
Ability to properly triage patients over the phone and determine the appropriate level of urgency and next steps.
Ability to accurately read, write, and transcribe medical notes and communicate medical information effectively.
Minimum of an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
Schedule: Part-Time, Day shifts; Monday, Friday, and Saturday
